El Substrat KIRYUZUNA és un substrat japonès de gra dur s'usa per augmentar el drenatge i la durada del substrat en el que cultivem els nostres bonsais. La duresa de la seva gra permet realitzar barreges de substrats que mantinguin les seves estructura durant més temps que si cultivem en akadama sola, el que és molt interessant per cultivar arbres que es trasplanten de tant en tant, com les coníferes. Per la grandària dels grans aquest substrat s'utilitza per als bonsais de mida petita.
