Cactus columnar de tiges amb costelles molt marcades, que fan fora petites fulles a la part superior. Creix de forma ramificada i pot a formar grans arbustos. Planta que requereix protecció del sol a l'estiu i del fred al hivern. També pot viver en interiors molt ben il·luminats. De reg molt moderat.

Alçada de l'euphorbia trigona:

En test de 13 cm de diàmetre: alçada aproximada 30 cm (incloent 10 cm d'alçada del test)
